Just a day working SkipTheDishes, had a pretty decent run after work though I neglected to mention it in video hoping I could find somewhere lit to record better footage.
Sometimes I get really lucky working SkipTheDishes, average is $25 an hour and yesterday in 6 hours I earned $160 🤟
Tips are a crucial part of that equation as often times customers believe they are tipping the restaurant when in reality any tips given go straight to the driver. I have often educated customers on this fact and when doing so also reinforce the problem that this is our only income as fees only cover travel. Those customers have taken to cash tips, now often gift cards, and as the one note said “For Customer Service Appreciation – Lunch On Us”.
While I was out driving around I decided to do a little comparison of the native art mask I purchased to the mask design my fiancé is now making.
Taking a design from the Internet and modifying it for our needs, I am very proud with the outcome of my fiancé‘s efforts. I have basically just been the face to do trial and error with and now I aim to help sell her creations.
I must say after wearing the purchased mask for one entire shift and wearing my fiancé’s design for the second, I won’t be wearing the others on shift any more. So much more comfortable, can’t wait till we get a little supply and start selling ✌️
After work I headed out to find a spot on the waterfront to do some push-ups and stuff. Didn’t end up going to plan with so many homeless encampments it seems like all the public areas are fenced off. Now I know it is better off to stay in my home area though the waterfront is a really nice walk.
Rounding off with a total of 9K for a day doing Skip The Dishes. Not too bad at all considering I spent most of my day on my bum in the car.
