Starting With Push-ups – My Actifit Report Card: August 19 2020

Knowing my day at work would be a little bit slower I start off doing a few push-ups.

Sometimes I get a little heads up about a short shift which is appreciated being able to pick up a shift with Skip The Dishes right after doing the other job.

Start The Day With Push-Ups – Set Your Mind, GET IT!!!

Work was the usual shenanigans building skids, lifting myself into different locations on shelving, moving heavy ass meat boxes. I built an entire skid 7 feet tall with me which was the first, the power jack was barely able to move it.

Having done 20+ or so push-ups before work and hitting the 10K notification by the end of my work day I figured I would take it easy after working SkipTheDishes.

Skip was a little intense, dispatch was on high alert keeping me on my toes which is odd. I figured shortage of drivers but micromanaging the driver whom is picking up a shift to help did not feel encouraging 🤷‍♂️ every single person I have spoken too with dispatch has a heavy accent so to me it seems like cultural differences. I do my best job when left to do it at my pace. My pace which is not slow but requires a little freedom of thought, all the micromanaging had me driving in circles.

Overall I am noticing progress in my ability to push my own body weight around. Sets of 5 chin-ups and 10 push-ups is much easier then it was. 20-30KG meat boxes go above my head much easier now, coworkers think I’m insane doing it all day long. Most importantly lifting is becoming more supported by my core over just my back … maybe I should start doing crunches, lunges and sit-ups to?
